Augustus. Sigismundus Augustus
Finished with the coins of Sigismundus I - and now going to the richest period of the numismatics of Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The period that is rightfully called the golden age of the numismatics of the GDL. So far we have added the smallest coins: from obolus (half-penny) to halfgroat. As for halfgorats we have stopped at ones having coat of arms "Topór" by Tarla. Tomorrow we will continue with the updates.
national bank of Poland has announced his plans about emission of the commemorative coins. Amongst others, they plan to issue coins dedicated to the begining of World War II and fights for freeedom (1989 events). All these topics are closely related with Lithuania and the fates of her people: together we have fought the brown-and-red enemy, together we made our way to the freedom. As always, the coins are to be issued of 200 (gold), 20 (silver), Nordic gold (2 zlotys) value.
Those who have time and are willing may visit Krakow: Krakow department of the National bank of Poland has an open doors day. More information is there.
Tomorrow there will be more updates. WIll see you!
